TOP HONEYMOON DESTINATIONS

The reward at the end of all the wedding festivities is traditionally a HONEYMOON time, a planned vacation that the couple takes to begin the marriage. In ancient Ireland they fermented honey and water to create a honey based wine called Meade - the drink believed to have powers of fertility and virility. It became a custom for the bride and groom to drink Meade for one full moon following the wedding day – hence the word – HONEYMOON.

Traditionally the groom is responsible for planning and paying for this part of the wedding. More than likely he will seek the advice of the bride or a trusted friend or family member to help him decide.

Each couple should have an idea by now how they want to enjoy their leisure time together. Some will want a luxurious pampering spa vacation; others may choose an adventurous journey mountain climbing.
